Building a Buzz and How to Do It - Knoxville, TN
Friday, April 20, 2012 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM (EDT)
In Fall 2011, ABA Women Rainmakers Committee held in approximately 15 cities its first multi-city program, Understanding and Articulating Your Personal Brand, which addressed the role personal branding plays in a lawyer's professional success. The buzz about the program has been extremely positive, with many asking when is the next program. Now, the Committee is excited to present its spring programming, Building a Buzz and How to Do It, which will offer female attorneys tips on how to increase their visibility and attract business opportunities.
These free, 90-minute, interactive, sessions are being hosted by law firms and moderated by either female partners, public relations professionals, or lawyer coaches. They are intended for female attorneys at all levels and are being held in over two dozen cities during the week of April 16, 2012. So, come out and get some tips on how you can help create, shape, and increase the buzz about your practice to generate more business.
Participants will learn about:
- Buzz for Lawyers: What Does it Look Like?
- Public Relations: What it is and Why it's Important
- Perfecting the Elevator Pitch
- Identifying and Pitching the Right Media Outlet
- Publishing Articles: Writing Like a Subject Matter Expert, Not a Lawyer
- Using Social Media to Create Buzz
- Avoiding Pitfalls
Feel free to share this event with your network of female attorneys who can benefit from this important topic. We hope to see YOU there!
